Artist's Description
This piece cracked on me during my first pour, so I decided to approach it with Kintsugi style. Kintsugi is a Japanese approach wherein broken pottery is repaired with gold adhesive to turn the perceived cracks and flaws into a beautiful part of the pottery's life. I filled the cracks in my pour with gold paint, and I have to say I love the effect better than if the pour had been perfectly smooth!
